Essentially kindergarten is about acquiring life skills. It is about fostering a joy of learning, it is about celebrating children's achievements, it is about socialisation, it is about building self-esteem.
We currently have places available in the extended hours kindergarten room for 4 year olds.
The core kindergarten program for this room runs from 9.30 - 3.15 Monday to Friday and before and after care in this room is available from 8am - 6pm.
Occasional Care on Fridays (available from 8am - 6pm) is open on a casual booking basis and is available for 3 to 5 year olds. The fees for Occasional Care on Fridays are $45 half day (8-1pm) and $80 full day.
Whilst there are no current vacancies for 3 or 4 year old sessional classes, you are welcome to join the waiting lists for any places that may arise. Wait list registrations are open from February two years prior to the commencement.

Families using the extended hours kindergarten program, Friday Care or Holiday Program can apply for Child Care Benefits (CCB) through the Family Assistance Office. CCB reduces your daily fee and is means tested based on your family income. www.familyassist.gov.au
Families may also be eligible for the 50% Child Care Rebate (CCR) for out of pocket child care expenses. This is also administered through the Family Assistance Office.
From mid 2018 the new Child Care Subsidy will replace the CCB and CCR. Parents must have registered with MyGov to apply for the subsidy.
For 3 year old Kindergarten your child must be 3 years of age by 31st January of the year they are to commence. Children must have turned 3 to attend.
For 4 year old Kindergarten your child must be 4 years of age by 30th April of the year they are to commence.
We make every effort to give priority to continuing children and to siblings of families who are currently attending Lady Forster Kindergarten.
