Essentially kindergarten is about acquiring life skills. It is about fostering a joy of learning, it is about celebrating children's achievements, it is about socialisation, it is about building self-esteem.
Allison began her Early Childhood career here at LFK back in 1997 after graduating from the University of Melbourne and returned in 2002 to be responsible for implementing the kindergarten program for our 4-5 year old extended hours kindergarten program. Allison sees each child as competent, capable, creative, resourceful and resilient, and assists children to strive for all that they are capable of being.
Liza has worked in early childhood for over fifteen years in long day care. She believes children are capable and need hands on real life experiences to build their self-confidence and resilience. For Liza, the kindergarten’s beach setting is an amazing asset as it allows children to leave the center and experience the outside world, while at the same time developing their love of nature. Liza was new to LFK in 2017.
Amy comes to LFK with her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Monash University and over 5 years experience as an early childhood educator and teacher. Amy is a huge believer in our play based kindergarten program, and she's eager to bring her knowledge and experience to Lady Forster Kindergarten. Amy loves to assist and facilitate lots of play-based activities to promote children’s desire to discover, build self-esteem and individuality, and have lots of fun!
We are lucky to additonal educators working in our team including Emma Jedwab and Claire Wilson who recently qualified as and Early Childhood Teacher.
