Committee
We also have an amazing group of volunteers who make up our elected Committee of Management.
As parents of the children attending, they dedicate their time and expertise to create strong, community-driven governance, ensure regulatory compliance, provide strategic direction, and enhance service quality through diverse skill sets.
We are proud to be a not-for-profit community-managed kindergarten with deep connections forged over many years with local families, and to provide a service that consistently exceeds the National Quality Standards.
We are grateful to the vast number of volunteers from our Lady Forster Kindergarten ‘family’, whose contribution and involvement in our kindergarten have developed and shaped LFK since 1924.
Child Safety
At Lady Forster Kindergarten, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We create a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel secure, respected and supported to thrive.
We maintain a zero tolerance approach to child abuse and respond to all concerns with care, professionalism and in line with our legal responsibilities. Our team undertakes ongoing training in child safety, mandatory reporting and the Victorian Child Safe Standards to ensure best practice at all times.
We are committed to inclusion and equity, honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, celebrating diversity, and supporting the full participation of children of all abilities.
Child safety is embedded in everything we do, guiding our decisions, practices and partnerships every day.
